Goodbye to an Old Friend

Today I said goodbye to the Shure Vocal Master. I've had this six channel PA system since I was 14 or so. Apparently it was priced to move as it sold within 15 minutes of posting. By the time the buyer came over I had 2 others wanting to buy. The guy bought it for his teenage son who plays guitar and just started putting a band together with his buddies. Brought back old memories.

May the Vocal Master bring the new owner as much fun as it brought me over the years.

Permanent Damage in their prime.

It's a Boy!

Can you find the penis in this picture? If so, perhaps you missed your calling in life as an ultrasound technician.

Tony Cannelloni Schwalbe

An increasing number of people at work have been mistakenly addressing Toby as Tony. Since Cannelloni seems the next logical progression, signs have been posted to preempt any confusion.

Woody Metalpecker

For the past two days, the Peterses have awoken to the sound of a woodpecker pecking on the chimney rain cover. As you may guess, the cover is not made of wood, so I'm not sure why this bird enjoys pecking on it so much. I had to light a fire in fireplace to get him to leave. Anyone have any ideas on how to discourage a woodpecker who likes metal?

Ghost Keith

I'm not sure if Keith's look of surprise is from the FS grind or the fact his leg is translucent!

Backpacking Becca

It's not often Becca goes for a backpacking hike with me, making this a cherished rare photo of mine. And that she's not flipping anyone off in the photo makes it even more of a collector's item! I think hiking is still associated with memories of backpacking through patches of head high poison ivy in Escalante. Pooping outside isn't real high on her list of favorite things to do either. Keeping hikes to a day trip length is probably a real good idea.

Frontside Air Day Continued...

Way to wreck frontside air day with a backside, Chester!

Frontside Air Day at Brighton

Looks like someone (namely myself) has the fever for the flavor of a frontside air.

Opps, looks like I slipped a little mute grab in. It has the makings for a nice slob though.

Ski Photos

In hindsight, maybe it wasn't the best idea to let the on mountain ski photographer choose the poses for the photos. What works well for 10 year old kids doesn't necessarily work well for 30 something guys.

Powder Day Fun

Everybody loves flying off a cat track on a powder day. Keith and Chet are no exception to this rule.

More From Zion

Zion has a little bit of everything that makes southern Utah so beautiful. Ledges...

...rocks and canyons...
...waterfalls...

...and even moonlit evenings from our hotel room's balcony. Sweet.

Cruisin' Southern Utah

The Peterses spent the weekend driving the southern roads of Utah.

And what southern Utah trip would be complete without a trip to Zion?

The Ride Back to Denver

At 7000 rpm and 120+ mph, the ride back to Denver seemed to fly by.

Monarch Snowcat Tours

Cozier than a chairlift...
...less crowded than the Snowbird tram...
...and powdery turns all the way down. I love cat skiing.

People Who Shouldn't Own Dogs

The list includes people who can't get their fat arse out of the car while walking their dog.
