Although I learned the hard way, that strapping your pack to the board and tethering it around your waist is probably not the best way to travel unless you're a dog.

That sure looks cold. You lived there? Did your mom drop you on your head when you were a baby? What happened to motels with heaters?
Nice. We've done a trip like that with Monica's parents in Nuevo Meheeco. The infamous "yurt trip." I hope you had a swank outhouse nearby.
