If my phone could take a descent picture in the dark you would see a picture of Sonic Youth playing White Cross last night in Salt Lake City. They may not have their youthful looks these days, however they still can stir up a ruckus. Best heard conversation during the show:Idiot #1 - What's with the old guy playing guitar?
Idiot #2 - What's with the music? It sucks!

My fave crowd observations: "Where are YOU!" cell phone hipster kooks, hipster gurl with back toward stage for entire show chatting up her hipster buddies, insecure hipsters looking around to see if it's ok to be "into this strange new sound".
What do you mean idiots? They were probably just normal people who don't like noise.
Also very good observations! Free shows can make for great people watching.
